Hello, my name is Vicki and this is my market home-gardening webpage.  Thank you for stopping by...and if I had a virtual kitchen, I would invite you in for a cup of coffee and we could talk about gardening and such, but since the next best thing to my kitchen is right here, please join me and ask questions if you have them.  I am a hobby-business-gardener and entrepreneur.  I don't know which one came first, but I'll go with gardening since I have been doing it since I was a kid.
 
As I am participating in a local farmer's market, I grew all of my plants from seeds.  I felt that it was the only way to ensure getting a truly locally-grown product.  I have grown attached to my little darlings (my seedlings), and we've been through a windstorm that almost put me out of commission totally, but we perservered and will be bringing many of them to the Farmer's Market this year on Saturdays (8-1) at the Huntley Town Square (see details on my "Selling" page). 

I will be bringing seedlings of vegetables, flowers to plant, potted flowers, herbs and vegetable collages and herb plants and gardens.  Later in the season I will bring to market vegetables, bouquets and cut flowers to enjoy.  So you can enjoy planting your own or bringing home a potted plant already made for you. 

*** Exciting news!...Around mid-July you may want to take home some long-lasting beautiful Soraya Sunflowers, Tuber Roses, and other beauties I plan to bring to market when they're ready.  Not to mention the vegetables as they become available...I can't wait!. ***

My sister business is also featured at the Huntley Farmer's Market this year, Victoria's Soaps & Scents.  You can visit online or at the market for lovely olive oil soaps made naturally right in my own kitchen. 

I love gardening and enthusiastically approach this season with new ideas and more vegetable and flower seedlings, cut flowers, natural home grown herbs for culinary and fragrance purposes and fresh produce. 

Come in and visit to see some pictures of my products and learn about the plants available.  Since my site is brand new, I will always be adding here and there and hope to start up a gardening blog to share tips and how to's.  Gardening is the one way each of us can help to keep fresh produce available all summer long as well as the "green" aspect of it.  I constantly find new ways to upcycle items for product packaging or general gardening uses.  Come on in!
